Farrow & Ball fabrique des peintures et papiers peints qui sont parmi les plus respectueux de l’environnement sur le marché; ces produits représentent plus de 80% des ventes Farrow & Ball.
Le souci de Farrow & Ball de préserver l’environnement est présent tout au long du processus de fabrication: les matières premières, l’énergie utilisée, le recyclage des déchets, l’emballage et la distribution répondent à une approche très respectueuse de notre environnement. Farrow & Ball n’utilise ni ammoniaque, ni formaldéhyde dans les peintures intérieures.
Les biocides utilisés dans les peintures Farrow & Ball sont sans danger et sont approuvés par le FDA (Organisme gouvernemental américain de contrôle pharmaceutique et alimentaire).
Les peintures listées ci-dessous sont toutes respectueuses de l’environnement, ont une odeur faible et dépassent toutes les propositions de loi européennes sur l’environnement prévues jusqu’en 2010. Toutes ces finitions ont une faible teneur en COV (Composés Organiques Volatiles):
Farrow & Ball and The Environment
Farrow & Ball produces some of the most environmentally friendly paints available anywhere in the world. Unlike many other manufacturers, Farrow & Ball continues to use natural ingredients such as Linseed Oil and China Clay and avoids the use of harmful ingredients such as ammonia and formaldehyde. VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) levels for most Farrow & Ball paints are so close to zero that the leading finishes, including Estate® Emulsion, Modern Emulsion, and Exterior Masonry, are classified as ‘Zero VOC’ when tested to US Environmental Protection Agency standards.
F&B’s environmental effort extends throughout the manufacturing process and has been recognised by the award of ISO14001:2004 certification. At every stage of the company’s work, from raw materials to energy use, waste management and distribution, they do their best to act in an environmentally responsible manner. F&B continue to resist the industry-wide move to plastic containers, which are hardly ever recycled, and remain faithful to the traditional tin packaging, which has a high recycled content and is easily recyclable.
The Farrow & Ball range of environmentally preferable eco-finishes and eco-primers is listed below. All Farrow & Ball eco-finishes are low in odour and have ‘low’, ‘minimal’ or (as classified by the US EPA) ‘Zero VOC’ levels and exceed all European environmental legislation standards, including those not scheduled to apply until 2010.
Farrow & Ball operate an ISO 14001:2004 certified environmental management system. This accreditation recognises the Farrow & Ball environmental management system for its consistent approach to, and continuous improve of, our environmental impact.
